Rare bone artifact found in Australia might be ancient trash


The first bone point of its kind discovered in Australia's Lower Murray River since the 1970s may be 8,000 years old, according to research released Tuesday, though the find highlights the lack of prior research into bone tools and other non-stone artifacts in the country.
